Hey, I didn't say best, that was your interpretation. I am presenting, in agreement with pueppi, why a chiropractic college clinic is a viable option. And the explanation is clearly laid out in posts written both by myself and pueppi, if you choose to read with an open mind. Maybe sorta hard in the dark, eh?

OK so what you and pueppi propose as a viable treatment option is a student chiro clinic. You don't mean it's the best treatment option. You just mean it exists. And yet anyone who suggests it's NOT the best, you'll accuse of not having an open mind. Or "choosing to read with an open mind" as you put it. Even though the op obviously doesn't want a student. Feh!

What has been clearly pointed out to you is that an intern is NOT A STUDENT. Your insistence that these posters - who have knowledge and understanding of the chiropractic college clinic - are wrong *does* come off sounding incredibly disrespectful.

Not just disrespectful, but incredibly disrespectful? OK, then, "intern" instead of "student".

I would still suggest the op see an experienced practitioner rather than an intern. Since, after all, he seems to prefer an experienced practitioner. And therefore, sending him to see a chiropractic intern (who no doubt is incredibly great at diagnosing and treating necks) would not be his best option. But no one claimed it's his best option. They just can't stand me pointing out it's not his best option.

Actually the OP specifically said he was interested in student practitioners, because they would be more affordable. Pueppi expressed that a student chiropractic intern would be a good choice. You shot her down (numerous times), even though she gave clear reasons why treatment there could be both safe & effective. Others agreed with her, and you repeatedly disagreed, even though you have zero experience attending such a clinic yourself. That's why you're accused of having a closed mind. Anyway, this thread isn't about you.

Go back and read what he wrote. He said he was interested in student massage therapists, separate from his neck injury.

And if this thread is not about me, then why are you calling me things like disrespectful or closed minded or "zero experience"? Childish. A bunch of people who are claiming to be healers. How do you know what I've done or not done? And I'm not shooting anyone down. Disagreeing with someone is allowable on this chatboard, last I heard. Maybe it's you lot who should be opening your minds a bit, or at least try to moderate your language and stop insulting anybody who dares to speak out and disagree with you. Feh.

Blister - while a difference of respectful & informed viewpoints are helpful on any forum - we all need to keep in mind that when someone posts asking for suggestions that we keep our posts on track for that particular thread. That is all our long-standing, experienced professionals have been trying to get across here, while responding to the original post.

While the poster is concerned about his neck issue - he also clearly has a tight budget & so the suggestions for seeing a well trained chiro student were most certainly not off base, and are one of the viable options available. It is highly unlikely that this individual would in any way be harmed. We are not afterall discussing a condition with a recent severe injury, or a frail individual who needs to be handled with kid gloves, from the sounds of the post at hand.
