MAFS UK's Ryan explains what really happened with Hannah foot massage - Cosmopolitan UK

Of all the subjects we thought would cause intense arguments on Married at First Sight UK, a foot massage was not one of them, and yet here we are. And now Ryan has explained what *actually* happened during the infamous Hannah foot massage moment this week.

To quickly recap: on Tuesday's episode (15th October) of MAFS UK, the couples all headed to a countryside retreat and during the retreat a rumour began to spread that Hannah had massaged Ryan's feet, much to the disapproval of his wife Sionainn.

Hannah denied this had happened, explaining she had only wanted to see if the Ugg slippers Ryan was wearing had a fluffy lining. The moment, along with several other accusations of flirting with the husbands, was brought up in last night's episode (16th October). Holly, Polly and Lacey all asked a number of intense questions about Hannah's behaviour and Sionainn expressed she felt uncomfortable with Hannah's actions towards Ryan.

While Hannah was upset with the rest of the women, she did apologise to Sionainn, explaining she sees men and women the same, and was simply joking around with Ryan.

She told Sionainn, "I feel really bad. I would never try and get someone husband's off them. I'm not a d**khead." Sionainn accepted her apology and the two moved on.

And now Ryan has entered the chat explaining what actually happened during the foot massage moment, revealing it did happen, but that it had been blown out of proportion.

Yesterday he posted a picture of himself and Sionainn on Instagram sharing what they got up to on their date before going onto explain the foot situation.

He said: "Just to clear the air about the slipper situation—it did happen, but nowhere near the way it’s been told. We were sitting with the whole cast, and it wasn’t in my apartment—Hannah has never been to my apartment. She asked if my slippers had fluff inside, and I responded, 'Have a look.' She reached in and said, 'Yeah, they do.' And for the record, no one was massaging my feet! ."

And Hannah also posted a statement to clear the air around the situation. On her Instagram Story yesterday she shared a picture of Ryan's shoe and explained what happened.

"There is only one story here and it’s the truth. The truth is this - the entire cast were in a room together the morning after the commitment ceremony. All of us. Nobody’s apartment. I never stepped foot (no pun intended) in Ryan and Sionainn’s apartment the entire time I was on the experiment.

" Ryan had some very smart looking egg shoes on that day and I couldn’t understand if they were shoes or slippers. So in the room full of the entire cast, I politely asked Ryan, with some confusion, if they had fluff in or not. Ryan had responded by pulling his foot out of said shoe and saying ‘here have a look’. I then proceeded to touch said shoe and noticed that in fact there were in fact slippers. Me and Ryan politely smiled at each other as he popped his foot back into his slipper and we all went about our day. The end."
