As you get closer to Christmas it slows down. People saving money for gifts and spending more time with family over the holiday season.

At the same time many Asian girls go back to China to see family and stay for the Chinese New Year.

Below are just my musings as a very part-time hobbyist, so bear with me please.

Sounds from the above posts like the predictions made by some on these boards of people have fewer dollars in their pockets for GTA hobbying are coming true - if work is slow for the girls, that means demand is down. At least anecdotally.

But will it matter, really? Will you see spas close down in big numbers if this demand decline continue? Will the owners abandon the spa sector?

This is a semi-underground business as we all know, and there are other important factors at play when you talk about the spas that we need not get into here.

The spas survived Covid, and I imagine they can weather a bad year or two or three, even if demand falls. The girls may feel pressure, but the owners are patient and very very quiet, whatever the state of things.

Just one person’s two cents.

You can blame Putin and Trump for the mess that we're in right now. Putin for starting an unnecessary invasion of a neighboring country which caused a food shortage that in turn caused ripple effects around the world. Trump for his gross mismangement of the Covid crisis because he thought it was fake. He didn't do anything to take action. The economy took a big hit because everything was shut. It's understood from an economics standpoint that demand is always growing. So, when production is shut down, supply goes down. What do you get when demand goes up and supply goes down? It's common sense. Everything from cars to mortgage and rent payments. Nobody has the money for luxury items like massages. I know someone that needed a new pickup truck. After all taxes and fees, it cost him almost 100 grand. That's crazy stuff.
