I would say your right on all counts Rob, its the basic numbers.

It kind of makes you wonder if these guys do any ind of cost an@lysis before they commit.. With thier rent and refurb commitment they must have assumed that they could have big takings, confident enough to enter a new market segment..

Thats the trouble, if some of these guys actually took time out, and went to talk some locals already in the business, they would soon get the picture. But then again, you can warn some people all you want, but they never listen.

I remember when all this was starting, and was being told about the business plan, I had to really hold back laughing.

well, ive spoken to him and every inquiry i had, he said no to
asking him if he networked with some of the more upscale restaurants and hotels, he said no
now im not in the business but that would be a major factor for me if i was an owner

I thought the first question when setting up an upscale bar is where do i get the clientele.
Sounds like there was not a business plan done or the worst business plan and set up ever.

Talking about another business,
I saw the king kong bar in the new soi vegas bar area up for sale.
Must be the quickest bar purchase and sale, end december set up - up for sale end march.

Well if i bought it

I would build a swimming pool on the roof or on the ground floor, fill it with loads and loads of girls, the latest house music for the UK and a dedicated ago go floor with loads of stunners etc..............u would be packed in no time!!!!!!! and of course for any owner in patong its vitally important to network, which mean frequenting loads of bar getting to know the owners, the girls and their patrons

just my thoughts as a turnaround project

oh and another thought looking up to the ago floor would have to be a glass floor, saw one of those in BKK, the bollox
