I have done the Touch for Health one work shop and the class on difusing fears and phobias. I loved it.  Any one else know about this stuff?  I would love to hear some stories.

Well, I've heard of Touch for Health (Kinesiology) but I haven't taken any courses in it.
 
Hello,I have completed all the Touch For Health courses up to kinesiology level.  The fourteen muscle/meridian balance is just the start, you later learn about the five elements, midday/midnight law, dam effects, yin/yang meridian interaction during time of day as well as use of colour etc.  Other techniques are also introduced that help, such as utilising the femeral heads to converge information and lock it in whilst testing, strengthening the abdominals through the scalp, using pulse diagnosis, sedation accupressure points for over energies etc etc.  By the end you have so many techniques you don't know what to do with them all!!If you have any questions I'll try to answer them!Much love,Martin
 
Thanks for your responce ,  I was corious if you use it alot I havent done much with the testing but I did love it .  Maby I need to practice and build my confidence.  I would like to have a session but I cant find any one in my area.  thanks again               Jessica
 
I use it quite a bit, sometimes I muscle test if I am unsure about a particular oil for example, or if during a reflexology treatment I get the impression a meridian might be out I'll just check at the end and correct it.  Quite often I'll use auricular technique or visual inhibition if they are getting neckache and work the scalp if the abdominals are weak.  There are many ways to incorporate it into other treatments, and this will often get people interested enough to try a full balance.Muscle testing itself does take a lot of practice to get right and feel confident in doing, it's so easy to use too much pressure or to get lazy and not make sure they're recruiting other muscles or holding their breath etc.  I'm quite lucky as I did the course with friends and we quite often swap treatments, and occassionally that will be a kinesiology balance.Much love,Martin

I've not done touch for health but I worked with a chiropractor who used kinesiology in tons of ways...identifying what to adjust...identifying muscle weakness and places to hold to correct the imbalance (it's sort of like touch for health but it's not pure TfH)...nutritional testing...etc.Personally, I use kinesiology or a pendulum to figure things out for myself...sometimes it's easier for me to see the pendulum response and it works on the same philosophy.

Hello,There are many kinesiologists who don't like "asking the body" etc for the very reason that it's a type of dowsing, something that many kinesiologists try to distance themselves from.  However, I use this technique all the time, and I am also a proficient dowser.  Below is a copy of the notes I wrote for a dowsing workshop I once held explaining the principles of dowsing practice.  If you want a decent book on dowsing you can do no better than Elements of Dowsing by Tom Graves (ISBN 1-86204-077-X).Much love,Martin
 
Dowsing Part OneProcess1.      Plan what you want to do.2.      Relax & become receptive.3.      Ask the question exactly.4.      With a blank mind start the dowsing.5.      Record results.The QuestionThis needs to be direct, simple and unambiguous.  For example, if you ask, “show me the direction of the nearest place that makes a good breakfastâ€‌ you might end up being directed to someone’s house, so for “placeâ€‌ put “massageplanetأ© or restaurantâ€‌.  When looking for water, stipulate clean drinkable water, you don’t want sulphuric water.  When searching for the exact location of an item, say “give me a negative L-Rod response when I am over the targetâ€‌, or “give me a positive L-Rod response when I am at the edge of the energy lineâ€‌.DowsingIt is important to remain relaxed and empty minded when dowsing, so that your own thoughts don’t disrupt and affect the dowsing response.  If you dowse the sex of a baby, whilst bearing in mind that someone said they thought it was a boy, you will get a positive/masculine i.e. boy response.  So as you walk stay empty minded, and take breaks regularly so you don’t become fatigued.  It is also important for you to take small steps and walk slowly as you may quickly walk over your target if not.L-Rod TechniquesThe search response is the one you begin with, which for L-Rods is similar to holding two guns, like a cowboy.The yes/positive response is with the L Rods swinging outwards, this is also the response that you get when you reach the edge of something.The no/negative response is with the L Rods crossed, in an “Xâ€‌, this is also the response you get when you are over the target.These responses can be used ask yes/no questions e.g. “is the missing key in this room?â€‌You can use a single rod to point to the direction of an item.  Ask the question, e.g. “point to the direction of the missing keyâ€‌ or “point to the nearest plug socket to meâ€‌.  Then slowly turn around until the L Rod tugs & stays pointing in one direction.  To make this more effective, stand in another position and do the same thing, in theory the item should be where the two lines converge.  The “tugâ€‌ is a kinaesthetic feeling, noticing when it happens will enhance the accuracy of the dowsing.To find the direction a thing is moving in, such as an animal, water, car, energy etc, there are two techniques you can use.  The first is the arrow technique, to do this hold the L Rods in front of you with the tips touching, like an arrowhead or inverted “Vâ€‌.  Follow the line or edge of the thing you are following, such as an energy line, and when the trail changes the arrow will turn to point the new direction.  This can be practiced by following a piece of string, above or under a rug.The second method is called the rifle sighting technique, for this stand at the start of whatever you are following, and then hold your arms out in front of you, with hand ahead of the other.  The L Rod in the hand nearest you should point at you, the other should point straight ahead.  As you walk forwards and come to a bend, the L Rod furthest away from you will turn first to point the new direction, and then the second one will point in the opposite direction.  As you turn to face the new direction both rods will return to the position you started with.  Both techniques do the same thing, so it is a matter of preference.If you need to determine a specific number you can write a list of numbers out and then move the tip of a single L-Rod along the list until the tip “sticksâ€‌ at a number, this is the answer.  This can be used to find out how many feet a stream of water may be underground, how many metres to the nearest pub etc!  This same technique can be used with other lists, such as a list of colours suitable for healing a specific problem or a list of weather types that tomorrow might bring.Map dowsing uses triangulation, but with a map to act as a symbol of the area you are searching.  The map only needs to be crude, not exactly measured.  It is usually easier to turn the L Rod upside down to dowse over a map.  This can be used to find lost items in the home, negative energy lines etc.
 
Dowsing Part TwoPendulum TechniquesThe pendulum should be held so that the cord is between your thumb & forefinger, which are pointing down, with about 4-6 inches of cord between your hand and the weight at the end.The pendulum search response (the “waitingâ€‌ mode) is normally either still or more usually swinging backwards and forwards.The yes/positive/masculine response is with the pendulum swinging clockwise, whereas the no/negative/feminine response is swinging anti-clockwise.There is an additional response for the pendulum, which is the maybe/wrong question response.  This tells you the answer is undecided or that your question makes no sense.  This is normally swinging backwards & forwards but at a 45-degree angle to you, i.e. at a diagonal.The leading edge technique can point to the direction of something.  Start with the search position and then ask the pendulum to point to the item you want to find.  The away swing will start to change from being straight ahead of you, after a number of swings the away swing or leading edge will point in a specific direction, the item is on this line.  Triangulation can be used to find the exact location by the same method we used for the L Rods.Pendulums can also be utilised with charts, and in this case one uses the leading edge to point to the segment of the chart with the correct answer.  If one wanted to know what element a plant was, they could divide a circle into four, write an element in each segment, start the pendulum in the search position at the centre of the circle and see which segment the leading edge eventually pointed to.  This may also be utilised with maps.Another dowsing technique is utilised to pinpoint an item.  If you had found the direction that a missing ring was in, you could walk along this line with the pendulum in the search position.  As you approached the ring, the pendulum would start to gyrate into an elliptical pattern, until the moment you are over it, when the ellipse becomes an exact circle, then it will return to an ellipse as you pass it, and eventually return to the search position.Ideas for Application1.      Locating lost items.2.      Finding water.3.      Finding pipes & electrical cables, and the directions they run in.4.      Locating a place of birth or the whereabouts of a missing person.5.      Discovering the sex of a baby.6.      Finding earth energy lines & power points.7.      Discovering negative energy lines in the home, and the direction that energy flows around the home (start at the door using the arrowhead technique).8.      Measuring the chakras (use a pendulum over the chakra, the gyration matching the strength of the vortex).9.      Using a chart to dowse tomorrow’s weather.10.      To answer yes/no questions.Copyright Martin Duffy 2000

Good thing someone else had ideas to share with you! I actually started at a young age with exposure to a pendulum. It was more of a parlor game for me. It was when I was older and in a kinesiology class that I "got" the connection. The basic idea is our muscles send out different responses to our thoughts. They go weak with a negative response, hold strong with a positive. With the pendulum, it will spin one direction for yes, another for no, or back and forth and side to side. It depends on how your body shows it. It's all about subtle changes in your body. First you always have to determine yes and no responses. It's also helpful to find an "I don't know" or "Don't go there" response. Personal opinion...it's not for future telling like "will I marry Joe?" It's best when used for present day situations. I also agree, get specific. I had an instructor going in circles with me one time and it was just a matter of words that made the difference. It was then that I realized how literal we can take things.Anyway, hope that helps.
