If I had a vote, it would be..unhappily, for Trump. Why? Because it is a choice between a person with lots of personal problems, but whose policies i can live with...and a party that has basically subscribed to the view that if you are white, you are racist, that people should be able to come into the country at will and receive health care, that trillions and trillions of dollars should immediately be spent on scientifically questionable projects to battle climate change....and I could go on. Sorry, i have always considered myself left centre socially and fiscally conservative...but in the last few years the Democrats have allowed a small but increasingly dominant part of their base to go nuts. if they are serious about even half of their crazy ideas, then they are not fit to govern. It really is as simple as that.

I generally respect your opinions so let's just agree to disagree on this one. One basic view of economics is that resources are limited so there is only so much "pie" to share. Another is that with efficiency, reductions in corruption and advances in technology there is more "pie" to share. Money is a pretty fluid concept anyways. But I am unlikely to change anyone's mind.

I have not and will not put anyone on ignore. I do not limit myself to just entertainment, I like thoughtful conversation. There are probably better venues for that, but so far I have for the most part enjoyed my time here. We may annoy each-over, but for the most part it is just words.

All the pedo stuff about Biden is dumb. He is in all likelihood what he appears to be, a doddering mediocre politician. He has been mediocre his whole life, ambitious yes, willing to say whatever the zeitgeist demands if he thinks it will bring him power. He would have ended his career in obscurity if Obama hadn't plucked him out as a safe choice.

But if it were just a contest between him and the boorish and divisive Trump, sure Biden could be the right choice.

But it is not. To dump Trump, Americans must give power to the likes of Sanders, AOC, Omar, et al. These folks have bad ideas. They are worse than any awkwardness caused by Trump's personality. This is obvious to anyone who assesses the situation with anything like an objective eye, but unfortunately we now live in a fact free world. Most people have decided which side they're on and accept only information that confirms that choice. The question is whether people will still value the system which has delivered a high quality of life enough to save it.
